Comedian,
writer and presenter Katherine Ryan will host the M&IT Awards 2026,
bringing her trademark sharp wit and unapologetic honesty to the meetings
industry’s biggest night.
Known
for her stand-up specials, hit Netflix series The Duchess, chart-topping
podcasts and bestselling memoir The Audacity, Ryan has become one of the
UK’s most recognisable comedy voices - equally at home on stage, television and
social media feeds.
Her
appointment will bring a bold new energy to the M&IT Awards, which returns
to Grosvenor House London on Friday 18 September 2026.
Ryan
has sold out venues including the London Palladium, become a familiar face on
shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats and Have I Got News For You, and
built a reputation for mixing glamour with brutally funny observations on
modern life, celebrity culture and human behaviour.
M&IT
editor Paul Harvey said: “Katherine Ryan is one of the sharpest and most
recognisable voices in British entertainment right now, and we’re absolutely
delighted to welcome her to host the M&IT Awards 2026.
“Katherine
has an incredible ability to combine glamour, intelligence and laugh-out-loud
honesty, which makes her the perfect fit for the awards, and our industry. With
her unpredictability and razor-sharp humour, we know she’ll bring something
truly special to the night.”
Attendees
can expect an awards ceremony combining celebration, entertainment and genuine
laugh-out-loud moments as the industry comes together to recognise standout
venues, suppliers, agencies and individuals from across the meetings and events
sector.
The
announcement comes as anticipation builds around the 2026 finalists, which are
due to be revealed shortly.
Tickets
for the event are already selling quickly, with early bird rates ending next
month.
The
M&IT Awards remains one of the flagship events in the UK meetings industry
calendar, attracting hundreds of event professionals for an evening of
networking, recognition and celebration.
Further
details, including finalist announcements and ticket information, will be
released in the coming weeks.
