The #WeCreateExperiences B2B and B2C campaigns, part of One Industry One Voice (OIOV), have reached a combined total of 3.7 million views via social media channels.
The B2C campaign received 2.3m post impressions and followed the B2B campaign, which launched at the end of 2020 and reached 1.48m post impressions.
The main objective of #WeCreateExperiences is to showcase the power of events, their broad range and how they touch millions of people’s lives across all demographics. It also aimed to inspire the public to plan for the return of live experiences and share what event they are most looking forward to attending again.
The campaign also puts a strong emphasis on the need to reassure consumers that the industry is ready to relaunch the experiences everyone has missed, not only to revive the UK economy but for the sake of everyone’s mental and physical wellbeing.
The campaign has been backed by a host of celebrities, including Claudia Winkleman, Clare Balding, Jonny Wilkinson, Ronan Keating, Tom Kerridge and Poppy Delevingne.
Consumer-facing social media profiles including Reading and Leeds Festival, Download Festival, Wireless Festival, Ticketmaster UK, Gigs in Scotland, Excel London, Rugby League World Cup and the SEE Hydro also supported the campaign.
If the social media figures hadn't already spoken volumes about the impact of the campaign, the official OIOV survey revealed 66 per cent of respondents thought OIOV was making a difference.
A further 73 per cent thought OIOV should begin to consider developing some sort of longer-term future model, building on its existing profile, mandate and objectives for closer cooperation of all of the core sectors.
