M&IT Agency Challenge M&IT Agency Challenge

The M&IT Agency Challenge will take place at Wyboston Lakes Resort in July this year.

In light of the ongoing pandemic, organisers behind the event have decided to switch locations from Celtic Manor in Newport, Wales, where the event has historically been held, to a location in England in accordance with England’s Roadmap out of Lockdown.

Between 20-21 July, the M&IT Agency Challenge will bring together leading international and national destinations, venues, suppliers and buyers at Wyboston Lakes in Bedfordshire for two days of networking, one-to-one meetings and of course, the team-building challenges where teams can win points for prizes.

Organisers aim to bring together approximately 60 agency event organisers with up to 30 venues and destinations. The M&IT Agency Challenge will help event professionals to create spectacular events with impact. Through a combination of business-led fun and carefully planned networking, attendees will make valuable and lasting contacts in a unique and sustainable setting.

M&IT Agency Challenge participants can attend secure in the knowledge that Wyboston Lakes is a resort with a conscience and currently holds three gold awards for achievements in sustainability.

With a brand motto like “More Sustainable, No Apology”, it’s little wonder Wyboston Lakes has been recognised by Green Tourism, ECOSmart and IACC – achieving high marks from all three accrediting bodies.

A few of Wyboston Lakes’ sustainability achievements include zero per cent to landfill, 100 per cent of the time, meaning the resort hasn’t sent waste to landfill for six consecutive years. It has partnered with Ellgia waste management to ensure all waste is collected and disposed of in the most sustainable way possible.

With more than 20 buildings across the resort to supply energy to, Wyboston Lakes has taken steps to negotiate better energy contracts. The resort is also working with The Energy Check, energy-saving specialists, to develop energy efficiency across the resort.

Wyboston Lakes has also drastically reduced its use of paper by enhancing technology systems and has almost eradicated single-use plastics from the resort.

The M&IT Agency Challenge is set to be bigger and better than ever this July because, after a year of not meeting, the industry has a lot to catch up on.

Join M&IT on 20 & 21 July at Wyboston Lakes to reconnect with industry colleagues. Secure your place here.
