BLACK BOOK, a new boutique events agency, has announced the launch of its venue finding service.

The agency, which was launched in June 2020 by event professionals Elliott Grant and Joe O’Connell, has added venue finding to its offering.

The announcement coincided with the hire of Kristy Hogan who will head up the venue finding service.

Kristy Hogan

Hogan was previously head of venues at Team Spirit and account manager at Hotel Desk UK.

"We are incredibly excited to have Kristy join the BLACK BOOK team. She brings with her a wealth of experience, knowledge and relationships having worked in the industry for the last 17 years,” said BLACK BOOK founders, O'Connell and Grant.

"She is a great addition to our team and one which will really help us to achieve our growth plans."

Commenting on her new appointment, Hogan said: “I am so excited to have joined Joe and Elliott, I love what the business is about.

“The industry has needed a more boutique offering like BLACK BOOK for a while now and the focus on relationships works perfectly for a tailored, personal venue sourcing product.”

O’Connell and Grant’s focus on building relationships and creating strong contacts is already off to a flying start as they both bring years of industry experience to their new agency.

Formerly, Grant held positions at agencies including Black Tomato and Top Banana. He is also currently the president of the SITE (Society for Incentive Travel Excellence) Great Britain Chapter.

O’Connell has gained a wealth of experience from working at a number of big-name agencies including First Event, Reed & Mackay and Orange Door.

BLACK BOOK has its sights set on building a collective of experienced event managers with strong client relationships looking to work in a more dynamic and autonomous environment.
