The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) has published the shortlist for its 2021 Excellence Awards.

The winners will be revealed on 9 December at ExCeL during an in-person event that will mark the end of ABPCO’s week-long Festival of Learning.

This year’s awards also include the newly added Innovation and CSR Awards. The shortlist for the Innovation Awards will be announced at the ceremony, while the shortlist for the CSR Award is already live with P&J Live, Visit Belfast and EICC comprising the finalists.

All shortlisted candidates were selected by an independent panel of judges, but the winners will be selected following delegate judging prior to the awards.

Details for the voting process will be sent to the registered delegates prior to the event.

“This is the eighth year that we have run the ABPCO Excellence Awards and each year we see an increase in the quality of entries,” ABPCO’s association director, Heather Lishman said.

“2021 marks the end of another challenging year for our industry but our members have remained incredibly resilient and demonstrated this through the creativity and innovation they have brought to their events.  This year saw new ideas, ways of working and relationships develop across the whole of the ABPCO membership, and this has translated into an incredible line-up of finalists. Good luck to them all.”
