Meetings and events professionals pounded pathways and pavements in the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise £28k for industry charity Meeting Needs and its partners.

Runners began their 13.1 mile journey in Hyde Park, making their way through Green Park, past Buckingham Palace, along St James’s Park to the Houses of Parliament before heading along the River Thames to Trafalgar Square and passing through Admiralty Arch. Runners then headed back to Hyde Park and zigzagged across central London’s largest park to complete the final miles.

Northstar Meetings Group’s Charlotte Bliss, who took part in the race, said, “I finished in just over three hours, which is good, but the last three miles felt tough. Thank you for all your support and sponsorships, it’s very much appreciated! The donation link will remain live until the end of week. So far, Meeting Needs has raised around £28,000 through the race alone. Can we get it to £30,000?”

All funds raised will go directly to good causes in the UK and overseas, supporting at least five projects, changing the lives of people who very much need help.

Meeting Needs are already planning for the 2023 event, so if you would like to join the fun, network with industry colleagues, get fit and raise funds for a great charity, then please contact – [email protected]

It’s not too late to show your appreciation of the commitment these individuals showed by boosting the total raised even further by making a direct donation to one of our runners at: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/MNRPHM2022
