Sussex-based full-service marketing agency PMW Communications has helped promote a specially-made radio message to encourage listeners to ‘keep talking’ while the UK is in lockdown.

The message was written and produced by award-winning radio commercial producer, John Calvert for Voiceover United.

The ‘keep talking’ message encourages listeners to “stay at home, protect the NHS, stay safe ... And Keep Talking,” during this period of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Some of the UK’s leading voiceover artists have joined the project, including XFactor voice Peter Dickson; ‘Voice of the Balls’ Alan Dedicoat; film trailer voice Redd Pepper; Big Brother voiceover Marcus Bentley; Flash Gordon, Blackadder and Star Wars character actor Brian Blessed and many more familiar voices from the world of TV, radio, film, advertising, gaming, animation and automation.

“We have worked with John for more than 20 years so when he asked for our help we didn’t hesitate to offer our time,” says Peter Sutton, managing director of PMW.

“It’s a strong and heartfelt message. We hope it encourages people to keep talking, no matter what their circumstances, and puts a smile on people’s faces during this difficult period.”

PMW is also offering free advice to companies who are looking to diversify and find creative ways to communicate with their customers.

“Now more than ever local companies need to work together and offer support,” said Sutton.

“We have a team of 36 marketing professionals, so what we can offer is free advice and a creative way to help owners ensure they have a business once the crisis is over.

“It’s not about developing an idea to rake in the money, but to protect the strong Sussex business community so it can once again thrive.”

A 30-second recording of the radio clip can be accessed here and an animated visual version can be watched here.
