The QEII Centre has launched its WrapUp London campaign to provide coats to anyone who needs one, including people experiencing homelessness, vulnerable families and refugees.

The QEII Centre will act as a drop-off point for coat donations and this year, the venue is asking event professionals to get involved.

Event professionals with any unwanted and unused coats can donate them to the WrapUp campaign by dropping them off at the QEII from the 8 to 26 November, Monday to Friday between 9am and 5.30pm. Donations of men’s, women’s, children’s and dog coats are welcomed.

Diane Waldron, director of sales and marketing at QEII, said: “We are always keen to support our local London community at QEII and HandsOn London’s WrapUp London campaign enables us to go some way towards doing that. We are proud to serve as a donation point for coats again this year and encourage event organisers, delegates and Londoners to drop their good quality, unwanted coats into the centre so they can reach those who need them the most.”

To date, the venue has collected 3,500 coats for the charity.

Jon Meech, chief executive, HandsOn London, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that the QEII Centre will be joining WrapUp London again for the third year. Their pledge enables a really key collection point as it will be only one in Westminster and a prime location for people living and working in the area to donate their spare warm coat.”
