Venue sourcing platform, EDGE Venues, has acquired its sister venue finding company Trinity Event Solutions.
EDGE Venues CEO, Jacqui Kavanagh, said the acquisition is part of the scale-up strategy of EDGE Venues to ensure it meets customer demand and provides a ‘concise message to the marketplace'.
Jacqui Kavanagh“We made the business decision to merge the two companies. We are already successfully processing our Trinity clients through our EDGE’s RFP tool which has gone through significant enhancements throughout the pandemic, as we continue to make it the ‘go-to’ platform for meetings and events. The EDGE Corporate portal Metis is already giving deep insights of buying trends and activity and was invaluable for our corporate clients to manage risk mitigate costs and spend during the pandemic.”
The meetings and events industry has responded positively to the news. Bauer Media event director, Chris Lester, who has worked with Trinity Event Solutions for more than 15 years, said: “This is an exciting time for Jacqui and the team. We have always had a fantastic relationship where they’ve understood our objectives and what we need from our events. For the companies to merge places an emphasis on the technology that’s required for the future of meetings and events, but knowing Jacqui and the team, this will continue with their wonderful personality and attention to detail. I wish them all the best in what they aim to achieve and I’m excited to be on that journey with them.”
Radisson Hotel Group key account manager, Kaarin Chadwick, has been a licenced member of EDGE Venues since its launch in 2018. She said: “The team at EDGE have a firm understanding of the industry and what it needs to be a success. This is built on their years of experience through Trinity Event Solutions really understanding both the venue and client requirements. The transition into EDGE comes at just the right time as we start to see the industry fall back on its feet and come back stronger. Having a platform such as EDGE Venues, where we can collaborate clear and consistent messages, will help make us stronger for the future.”
