Our Silver Linings campaign endeavours to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step.

We think the following update from Top Banana's commercial director, Jemma Peers, will be tuneful to your ears...

Resident DJ

We're settling into a (temporary) new normal, where a conversation in the kitchen has turned in to a catch up over Teams. We’ve also turned our attention back to what’s coming out of the speakers.

To celebrate this, our resident DJ, Ian Cooke (moonlight account director), has put together the Top Banana 'WFH Office Playlist' to both listen to and connect us as we work remotely. It features everyone’s favourite tracks.

We’re continuing to grow it with the tunes that are getting our clients and suppliers through WFH. It's a reminder that during a time when it could be quite easy to go radio ga ga, music really does make the people come together!

"Two for a pound!"

Yarnfield Park has opened a pop-up stall to sell its surplus fruit and vegetables to the community

Staff at the training and conference centre, part of The Venues Collection, set up the stall in the conference centre’s foyer. They invited members of the local community via Facebook to buy produce.

Jason Petty, general manager of Yarnfield Park said: “We wanted to do something to help our local community whilst ensuring that the fruit and veg we had at our venue did not go to waste.

"The village of Yarnfield - where the centre is located - has many retired residents but does not have a local shop. Many of them have been unable to get to the supermarkets in the nearby towns. The stall was a success and we sold out in just a couple of hours!”

The stall was manned by centre staff and operated with stringent safety measures. These included a distancing queuing system, contactless payments and sanitisers for customers to use. Staff were protected with gloves and masks to ensure their safety.

Yarnfield Park Training and Conference Centre is located in Staffordshire and is one of eight venues within The Venues Collection.
