The Grimaldi Forum celebrated
its 25th anniversary in grand style – and unveiled a new expansion.
The Monaco venue marked its
quarter-century at an event attended by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene,
alongside nearly 1,000 guests, including clients, partners, and media
representatives from across Europe.
The evening kicked off with the
renewal of the venue’s 20-year partnership with CMB Monaco, before a dance performance
telling the story of the Grimaldi Forum in the Salle des Princes.
The newly expanded areas were then
inaugurated by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, before a cocktail dinner
in the Patio and Diaghilev Gallery spaces of the extension, and finally an Electro
Winter Party.
The extension has increased the
flexible spaces in the Grimaldi Forum by more than half, with 6,000 sqm of new
areas and 2,000 sqm of new outdoor spaces. It is connected to the existing
building via a direct link to the Diaghilev exhibition hall, and is also
accessible via a separate entrance.
The venue hopes the extension will
meet the growing space needs of its major clients and attract new ones,
enabling the organisation of larger events and the ability to host more events
simultaneously.
The Grimaldi Forum
It’s located in Mareterra,
Monaco’s new eco-district by the sea, which features 27,000 sqm of greenery and
19,000 sqm of pedestrian areas.
When it was inaugurated in 2000,
the Grimaldi Forum Monaco was tasked with a dual objective: positioning Monaco
as one of Europe’s premier business tourism destinations and becoming a major
centre for artistic excellence. Twenty-five years later, the Principality’s
cultural and conference centre hosts an average of 100 events per year,
attracting more than 300,000 visitors annually, equating to 2,700 events and 8
million visitors over 25 years.
