gardens and parklands. The package includes entry into the castle
and grounds, two servings of tea,
coffee and biscuits, a buffet lunch, a falconry experience, a wine tasting experience, private entry to
adventure golf, a three-course dinner served in the castle,
overnight
accommodation including breakfast the following morning, and a meeting room if required.
Situated an hour from
London, a castle has existed on the site since the 9th century. It was a favourite residence of Edward I in the 13th century, while in the 16th century Henry VIII transformed the castle for his first wife, Catherine of Aragon.
The present castle dates mostly from the early 19th century and features six meetings and events spaces
plus plentiful outdoor options. Indoor spaces include new addition to the
portfolio - The Gatehouse, which forms an
imposing approach to the Castle Island and
provides a distinctive setting for private dinners for between 20 and 40 guests
or evening events. There is a diverse range of accommodation options
throughout the property, including within the castle itself.
