The recently opened Sands End event venue in Fulham, London has a community focus.
Set in the heart of South Park and just is a
10-minute stroll from the River Thames, Sands End offers a variety of large spaces
for exclusive hire for corporate and private events - as well as the indoor
spaces there is also access onto the Walnut Grove, Healing Gardens, and the
parkland for large summer events.
The Main Hall can accommodate 150 for a seated
dinner and dance, 230 for a stand up event, whilst the outdoor grounds can take
up to 500 people.
The venue is a RIBA-winning sustainable design
and charity run venue, built to benefit the local community. Funds raised by rental
hire provide a source of income to help many people in the area through a
varied programme of activities for residents. Programmes include free weekly
art therapy sessions, table tennis for seniors, as well as Meet Up Monday
Sessions and The Wednesday Club which provide free food, hot drinks, crafts and
activities for residents.
