Mama Shelter, the lifestyle hotel brand under Ennismore and Accor, will open its first Asian property in Singapore on 23 September 2025.
Located on Killiney Road in the Somerset district, the 115-room hotel will offer a range of informal, design-led spaces suitable for meetings, private events, and group dining.
The property’s rooftop level features two mosaic-tiled pools, tropical landscaping, and a dedicated restaurant and bar serving Mediterranean-style sharing plates. The rooftop includes three tucked-away dining tables designed for private group bookings, as well as low-slung loungers and shaded areas for informal gatherings.
One of the pools doubles as a stage for DJ sets and live performances, adding a flexible entertainment option for planners seeking a more experiential format.
On the ground floor, Mama Restaurant and Island Bar offer an all-day brasserie-style menu curated by executive chef Eugene Tan, formerly of Panamericana. The venue is suitable for casual networking events, team dinners, and social receptions. The drinks list, developed in collaboration with Hazel Long of Junior the Pocket Bar, features locally inspired cocktails and signature blends.
General manager, Xavier Pougnard, said the hotel’s event offering is designed to reflect Mama Shelter’s creative ethos while supporting a wide range of group formats. “We’ve built a space that’s playful, inclusive and adaptable, ideal for planners looking to host events with character and energy,” he said.
The hotel’s interiors, designed by Dion & Arles, incorporate Peranakan influences, eclectic furnishings, and a hand-painted ceiling mural by Parisian street artist Beniloys. Nearly half of the guest rooms feature private terraces, and the property debuts Mama Shelter’s first-ever bunk room, aimed at families and group travellers.
