Event caterer, Moving Venue, celebrated a milestone 40th
anniversary in grand style at the Natural History Museum.
In partnership with headline sponsors Lavender Green, Wise
and Sternberg Clarke, Moving Venue hosted 250 guests including venue partners,
corporate clients, event agencies and press.
The evening was a blend of creativity, elegance, and a
tribute to the company’s four decades of operation in the event industry.
The theme 'Rebellious by Nature' came to life through a
series of immersive experiences, including a dramatic floral installation that challenged
convention and a menu that celebrated sustainability and innovative flavours.
Guests were treated to a culinary journey that echoed the
evening’s theme, with dishes that were as beautiful as they were delicious, showcasing
Moving Venue’s commitment to excellence and creativity.
The evening’s menu included a starter of King prawn ceviche,
dill oil, peas, orange caviar, pickled cucumber, followed by a main of Cornish
lamb, summer vegetables, topped off with a peanut cremeux, Maracaibo milk
chocolate mousse and gold salted caramel.
“This celebration is a reflection of our journey over the
past 40 years – a journey marked by innovation, creativity, and a passion for challenging
the status quo,” said Chloe Jackson, managing director of Moving Venue. “The
theme ‘Rebellious by Nature’ perfectly encapsulates our ethos as a company.
“We continue to invest heavily in both our product and in
our team. Where we have led the way before, we will continue to reach for the
next challenge, testing boundaries, and continue to focus on exceeding client
expectations and delivering time and time again. We announced earlier this year
the launch of the Moving Venue Academy which kicks off this Autumn as we set
out to train and develop our venue partners in the dark art of catering, which
is just one of our ways of giving back to the industry and we were delighted to
have our mentees here with us last night.”
The event featured a line-up of entertainment including West
End Musicals Chicago and Cabaret and a performance from 80s star, Carol Decker.
Robert Wetherell head of events and catering at the Natural
History Museum said, “Moving Venue’s 40th birthday party was a huge celebration,
and we feel honoured to host this incredible milestone in the Museum’s famed
Hintze Hall, under the watchful eye of Hope, our 25-metre blue whale skeleton.”
