QEII Centre CEO Mark Taylor is stepping down after 12 years, it has been announced.

Taylor, who has been at the helm of the Westminster venue since 2013, is stepping down as CEO to focus on family commitments.

During his tenure, Taylor has overseen a refurbishment programme that has modernised the venue with annual revenues having increased from £9.6m in 2013/14 to £17.6m in 2023/24.

Reflecting on his time at the QEII Centre, Taylor said: “Serving as CEO has been a fantastic and rewarding journey. I am immensely proud to have worked alongside such a talented team of professional staff and partners, and the wider events community in London and beyond. I wish them, and the centre, continued success in the years ahead.”

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government also thanked Taylor for his tenure.

Arrangements for the appointment of a new chief executive will be announced shortly.
