In a LinkedIn post, Danielle Bounds has announced her departure
from ICC Wales and The Celtic Collection after 19 years of service.
Bounds said: “After much reflection, I’ve decided to step
down as sales director at ICC Wales to pursue new challenges. It’s a
significant moment for me and one that marks the end of an incredibly rewarding
and transformative chapter of my life.
“When I joined the Celtic Manor Resort nearly 19 years ago, I was drawn to the
hospitality industry and the wonderful experiences that it gives. What I didn’t
fully appreciate at that time was how the people I worked with would come to
define my experience. I have had the privilege of working alongside brilliant
colleagues, advising exceptional clients, and navigating the changing landscape
of Hospitality and Business Events.
“Some of my career highlights are, leading Celtic Manor Resort to win Gold at
the M&IT awards for Best UK Hotel for 9 out of 10 years. Opening ICC Wales
in 2019 and growing it to be the world class exceptional business that it is
today. Being a Martyn’s law ambassador and winning the ICCA best marketing
award as recognition of this work. Then going on to win numerous industry
awards namely ABPCO Outstanding Contribution and M&IT Personality of the
Year.
“A big thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey so far –
colleagues, clients, mentees, mentors, and valued friends. I look forward to
what comes next for me and to staying in touch with my lovely Hospitality and
Business Events Community. For now, I will continue being the chief cheerleader
and champion for ICC Wales and then I am really excited for my next chapter and
the new opportunities and fresh challenges that lie ahead.”
The LinkedIn post drew considerable attention from across
the industry with event professionals wishing Bounds well in her future endeavours
and exclaiming their gratitude in getting to work with her.
