The Event Leaders Exchange (ELX), an invite only community for global heads of events from the world's largest corporations, has announced the appointment of Nicola Kastner as its new CEO.
Nicola Kastner, renowned for her expertise in event marketing strategy, brings to ELX a wealth of experience and accolades. Most recently she was the founder of The Event Strategist, a boutique event strategy advisory firm.
Prior to launching her consulting practice, Kastner held various roles on both the brand and agency sides of the business, including most recently as the global vice president of event marketing strategy for SAP, where she was responsible for designing and optimising event strategies for events ranging from 25 to 25,000 people.
Kastner's accolades include induction into the Canadian Meetings Hall of Fame, named to the Event Marketer B2B Dream Team in 2019, and as a "Top Woman in Events" by Event Marketer Magazine.
Mark Brewster, chairman of ELX, said: “Nicola’s appointment as CEO is a milestone for ELX. Her dynamic leadership and profound understanding of the events industry from the most senior levels will be instrumental in steering our community towards new heights. We are confident that under her guidance, ELX will continue to be a trailblazing organisation which offers significant value to senior corporate event executives."
Kastner's role as CEO will encompass spearheading ELX's strategic direction, enhancing its global presence, and reinforcing its position as a thought leader in the event industry. She will also focus on expanding ELX's exclusive member base.
"I am honoured to join ELX as CEO and excited to contribute to this vibrant community of event leaders" says Kastner. "ELX's commitment to providing a safe space for the industry’s most senior leaders to collaborate and share best practices is unlike anything in the industry. It is a community that I wish had existed when I was with SAP. I look forward to working with our members to foster a vibrant future for our industry, where corporate events not only meet but exceed their strategic potential".
