Johnny Martinez, formerly of ShockLogic and now on the account
management team at CrowdComms, has been appointed as chair of the APEX
Commission.
An arm of the Event Industry Council (EIC), the APEX
Commission develops and implements industry-wide accepted practices and
standards that create and enhance effectiveness and efficiency throughout the
global events industry.
The Event Industry Council has recognised Martinez’s contributions
since 2020 and his new leadership role is set to amplify his impact on the
global events industry.
"I am honoured to lead the APEX Commission in their
mission to shape the future of the events industry,” said Martinez.
“Together, we will continue to create and implement
standards that elevate our industry to new heights."
EIC CEO Amy Calvert added, “We are thrilled to have Johnny

ideal person to lead the Commission and guide its important, far-reaching
work.”
Martinez said he wanted to make the events industry more efficient, effective and inclusive.
