The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has appointed Thomas Morgan as head of venues and events delivery.

In his new role, Morgan will lead and develop the venue and events teams across RIBA’s historic headquarters, 66 Portland Place in London. He will be responsible for increasing commercial contribution to the charity and activating new private hire event streams in order to hit the institution’s ambitious annual growth rates and targets.

Morgan said: “I am excited to be heading up the Venues and Events delivery departments at RIBA at 66 Portland Place. This breath-taking Art Deco masterpiece is an incredible setting for high-profile events with a strong client base. I am looking forward to working with the team to maximise the potential for commercial success, with new initiatives, programmes, and event opportunities, whilst raising even greater awareness of the capabilities of our heritage building within new sectors and markets.”
