Venue finding and event management agency, Venues and Events International, has launched its 2023 Emerging Talent programme.
First launched in October 2020, the annual Emerging Talent
programme takes up to six employees through a dedicated training, education,
and mentoring programme covering every area of running the business.
The talent programme is aimed at boosting individuals'
future career paths through the event and venue-finding industry, by instilling
cross-departmental skills, knowledge, and motivation.
Kira Clinton, a graduate of the 2022 Emerging Talent Programme,
has recently been promoted to event manager. Clinton said: "It exceeded expectations
and was eye-opening to see other sides of the business and to see how other
departments operate. I now better appreciate how all roles connect in some way.
I began to understand that my role as an event executive influences finance, but also has a domino effect on all departments. I’m now clear
on how much different department teams can help each other to improve processes
for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, and how vital it is that everyone
works ‘together’ – which is one of our main values.”
The Emerging Talent Programme is now entering its third year.
This year’s successful applicants include:
- Amber Beadle – conference planning executive
- Hannah Giles – account manager
- Louise Nortcott – conference planning executive
- Emily Rogers – wip and reporting specialist
- Alanna Wells – producer
- Helena Finch – senior event manager
Anita Lowe, CEO of Venues and Events International, said:
"We're a real family at Venues and Events International, and what are families for, if not to support
each other and build each other up? That's what we love to do with our
programme, which embraces each of our values. The experiences and the confidence
it gives people is a real joy to see, especially when it makes a difference to
their role and career.”
