The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) has launched its 2026 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Survey, inviting event professionals across the association and not-for-profit sector to help shape the future of its professional learning programme.
The survey is open to both ABPCO members and non-members and aims to identify the skills, knowledge and learning priorities that matter most to today’s events community.
The findings will directly inform ABPCO’s CPD programme throughout 2026 and 2027, with the association also using the results to support its wider development strategy.
The survey asks respondents to identify topics they would like to learn more about, as well as the learning formats they find most valuable, including webinars, workshops, conferences and peer-to-peer learning.
Matt Stalker, executive director of ABPCO, said: “Professional development has never been more important for our sector. As the events landscape continues to evolve, we want to ensure ABPCO is providing learning that reflects the real challenges and opportunities our community faces. This survey is an opportunity for both our members and the wider events industry to influence the future direction of our CPD programme and help us deliver learning that is practical, relevant and impactful.”
The survey takes less than five minutes to complete and responses are anonymous. Participants can also enter a prize draw to win one of four £25 Amazon vouchers.
A summary of the findings will be shared with ABPCO members later this year, providing insight into the learning priorities and professional development needs of the association events community.
ABPCO is encouraging everyone involved in delivering events for associations and not-for-profit organisations to take part.
The survey closes on Monday 7 September.
