BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) has expanded its Congress
Practice Area into Europe after seeing increased demand for congress services in
the life sciences sector.
The expansion, which follows BCD M&E's recent contract win with a
leading pharmaceutical company spanning 30 countries, will see new team
members join both the business's Congress Practice Area and life sciences verticals to provide client support across the EMEA region.
BCD M&E’s Congress Practice Area, which recently expanded
into the LATAM region, is dedicated to the life sciences industry. Services
include project management, delegate housing and registration, compliance
support, exhibit and sponsorship management, and budget oversight.
The US-based agency employs a team of 175 congress specialists who manage
more than 300 international events every year.
“Expanding our Congress Practice Area into EMEA allows us to
offer congress management services tailored to the unique demands of the life
sciences sector,” said Mikael Ek, managing director, EMEA, BCD M&E.
“This allows us to
combine global expertise with local knowledge to deliver services tailored to
each market.”
The move means clients in Europe will also gain access to BCD
M&E’s Life Science Center of Excellence - a team that supports travel,
meetings, speaker programs and congresses for more than 300 organisations,
including 18 of the world’s top pharmaceutical companies.
