Conference Care has appointed Pauline Beattie as managing director, as the venue finding and event management specialist reshapes its leadership team for its next phase of growth.
Beattie, who has been with the business for more than 25 years, steps up from her role as sales director. Meanwhile, Andrew Deakin will move into the newly focused role of chief executive, overseeing strategic projects and growth initiatives while working closely with Beattie.
During her time at Conference Care, Beattie has helped drive the company's commercial strategy, strengthen client relationships and develop its sustainability and digital offering.
She is also well known across the sector for her work with the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO).
In her new role, Beattie will lead the day-to-day business, with a focus on strengthening client partnerships, accelerating sustainable solutions and enhancing digital capability.
Speaking about her appointment, Beattie said: "I'm incredibly proud to take on the role of managing director at such an important time for Conference Care.
"This is a business with strong foundations, brilliant people and long-standing client relationships, and I feel privileged to help lead it into its future.
"Our focus is firmly on what comes next. We have a team ready to keep evolving, innovating and delivering even greater value for our clients."
The appointment marks a significant leadership transition for Conference Care, with Deakin shifting his focus towards long-term strategy while Beattie takes responsibility for leading the business through its next stage of development.
