Experiential agency Identity has announced its first
official partnership in the world of sport, teaming up with professional golfer
Shaun Norris.
The agency behind landmark events such as London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations, Royal commemorations, international summits and corporate experiences, is expanding into the sports arena as part of its wider mission to create events and experiences that leave lasting legacies – on and off the course.
Unveiled at the start of the Scottish Open, the partnership aligns with Identity CEO Michael Gietzen’s role
as co-founder of the Sport Impact Summit, which brings
together global stakeholders to explore how sport can drive long-term social
and economic change.

“Sport unites us across languages, cultures, and borders,” said Michael
Gietzen, CEO of Identity and co-founder of Sport Impact Summit. “It’s an
all-encompassing arena where passion, performance, and community come together
to create something truly unforgettable. Through our partnership with Shaun,
we’re bringing our philosophy to life on a global stage, connecting the human
experience of sport with the legacy of world-class events.”
Shaun Norris has secured 14 international tour victories,
including eight wins in the Japan Golf Tour, and is currently
ranked 54th in the world.
On teaming up with Identity, Shaun Norris said: “I’m
really excited about this partnership with Identity. They’re doing amazing work
around the world and it’s a privilege to be part of that. It’s a big brand with
big ideas, and I’m looking forward to contributing in any way I can. This feels
like the start of something special.”
This is the first in a series of sport-led initiatives for
Identity, with further activations and ambassador partnerships to be announced
over the next year.
