Lee-Anne Caldwell has been appointed as the new managing director
at emc3, as the agency aims to extend its global footprint and push the
boundaries of sustainable event experiences.
Caldwell joined emc3 six months ago as head of client experience,
part of a strategic transition which allowed her to fully immerse herself into the
company culture and lay the foundation before stepping into her role as MD.
CEO of emc3, Alistair Graham, said: “We knew from an early
stage that Lee-Anne was a great fit and absolutely the right person to take
emc3 forward. She’s already made a huge impact, building strong relationships
with the team and clients and bringing clarity to our global growth plans. Her
leadership will be pivotal as we continue to scale with purpose.”
With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Caldwell brings
a wealth of knowledge to the table. She previously spent a decade working at
Ashfield Event Experiences (now Emota) where she held the role of global senior
vice president and played a key role in the merger with WRG and the subsequent
launch of Emota. Her diverse background spans event delivery, account
management, strategic consulting, business development, and global team
leadership.
Caldwell began her career as a psychologist before
discovering the world of events, where she helped establish the events
department in a small medical comms agency. She then moved to Zibrant, taking
on a global role. With her background in pharma, she sees great potential in
working with emc3’s diverse and growing tech portfolio and beyond.
Caldwell has been tasked with leading emc3 through a key
building phase, developing a robust structure for sustainable growth and
ensuring its teams are set up for long-term success. Known for her open, honest, and supportive leadership style,
Caldwell is a champion of transparency and wellbeing.
She said: “I’m incredibly proud to step into the role of managing
director and lead the agency into its next phase of growth. There’s so much
potential here, and big ambitions to match. What really stood out to me about
emc3 is that the values aren’t just words. The commitment to sustainability
runs deep, and the B Corp certification is just one example. I’m surrounded by
people who not only care about delivering incredible events but also about
making a real, lasting difference. That’s rare, and it’s exactly the kind of
agency I want to help grow.”
