Brand engagement agency XSEM has launched a new division to
help pharmaceutical organisations inject more creativity into their event
programmes.
XSEM’s pharma business accounts for almost 20 per cent of
the agency’s annual income and serves a growing number of pharma clients with
head offices in the UK, Europe and Asia.
Its new six-strong pharma division will be led by Caroline
Medcalf and will combine compliance and creativity with event delivery.
The team includes head of operations, Victoria Richards and project
directors Nicole Woodcock and Sarah Symington, who boast specialist
pharmaceutical event experience and have worked with renowned healthcare
organisations. All are Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry trained.
Medcalf said: “We’ve built trusted relationships in the
pharmaceutical sector over the last two decades, combined with the skillset of
XSEM’s wider business in terms of creative thinking, production, exhibition
capabilities and marketing skills, offering our pharma clients a full agency
experience. It’s a strong proposition for pharma.”
In an interview with M&IT last month, Dan Bardgett, co-founder
and MD of the Leeds-headquartered agency, explained how engagement was its primary
aim and hinted that growth was on the cards.
“We’re proud of the contracts we've won so far and are
looking forward to continuing our growth in this area for pharma organisations
needing a collaborative, experienced and highly qualified hands-on partner,” he
said.
