Trade association beam has appointed Jess Brabant Consulting as its agency engagement partner to help strengthen relationships across the agency community.

It is hoped the move will both increase awareness of the association, which represents businesses within the events, accommodation, and meetings industry among event agencies, while also ensuring agencies are represented within industry conversations.

Beam chair David Tremmil, said giving agencies a strong voice was ‘essential to maintaining a balanced and representative membership.’

He said: "Agencies are a vital part of the business events industry, connecting clients, venues, destinations and suppliers while driving innovation and delivering exceptional experiences.

“Jess's appointment demonstrates our commitment to supporting and growing this important community, creating opportunities for greater collaboration, knowledge sharing and collective success across the industry."

Brabant will work alongside beam’s membership directors Julie Shorrock and Ryan Brierley-Doyle to help support community growth and ensure the sector’s evolving needs are reflected within beam's activities and initiatives.

Shorrock said: "Agencies are an integral part of our industry ecosystem, and we want to ensure their voices, challenges and successes are reflected within beam. While we have a highly engaged agency membership, we know there are many more agencies across the sector that could benefit from being part of the conversations and professional development opportunities the association provides.”

Brabant, who has a strong background in business development and relationship management, having worked at NEC Group and Switch Management, said she was looking forward to engaging agencies across the sector to understand their priorities.

She said:  "Throughout my career, I've seen first-hand the value of strong professional communities and the opportunities they create for collaboration and business growth.”
